In this week’s assignment, we were to create a comic strip demonstrating areas in the ARCS Model.
My comic strip follows a lesson plan about understanding the alphabet for 1st graders. The students are to be given a letter from the alphabet and bring in an item that starts with their letter. In my comic strip I used an aspect of relevance by modeling an example.
I created a whole comic on toondoo and it was going great until I tried to save and go back and review. I would not use toondoo again in the future because it did not allow me to submit my assignment. I have used Canva many times before so I would definitely recommend.
Before this assignment, I kind of forgot about comic strips for educational purposes, so I believe, especially with the elementary aged students, a comic would be a very great teaching tool.
